Wood Rot or Dry Rot

Many homeowners are familiar with wood  damage caused  by rot. They see it in different parts of houses such as in garage, walls, ceilings, doors, kitchens, window casings and other wood used in their houses, and other buildings. But they don't have much idea of how easy wood rotting away can suck the strength out of their homes and ruins their houses and even their health..., in part, because rot produces different types of molds that can get into your body and infest it and unconsciously ruin your health..
Once rot begins in wood it spreads out through threadlike filament called hyphae which secrets enzymes that digs into the wood. And so it is difficult to cure completely -- it is like a cancer. Digging out the  rotted wood will still leave spores and water in the sound wood. After you fill in the cavity with something like epoxy, the rot continues to flourish underneath. Products promoted to make rotted wood sound and stop rot penetrate only until they meet water, with which they do not mix. Under the solid repair rotting goes on. Most commercial products sold to treat dry rot or to prevent rot are completely ineffective against established rot in wet wood because they are dissolved in petroleum solvents and oil and water do not mix. And the best way to be protected against rot and
molds which causes wood rots  is to prevent them from starting and/or spreading in the first place. You might want to do testing and obtain remediation assistance of a Certified Mold Inspector. To find one in your area, visit: Certified Mold Inspectors and Remediators.
